The Plurals

The Plurals have carved out a distinctive niche in the pop/rock genre. Active since the 2000s, the band is recognized for incorporating elements of garage, pop, power pop, punk, and rock into their sound, creating a unique style often referred to as “post-fun”​​​​.

Their innovative approach to album releases is exemplified in their fifth LP, “BEES,” which they chose to release as a series of EPs. The first of these, “Mumblebee,” showcases the band’s self-produced work with the assistance of George Szegedy from People’s Temple/Crystal Drive. This method of release highlights The Plurals’ DIY ethos and their commitment to giving their music the space and attention each segment deserves​​.

The Plurals are a key component of the Lansing-based GTG Records, a collective that fosters a close knit community of musicians, helping cultivate a supportive and vibrant music scene in Mid-Michigan​​.
