Brandon Rose is a multifaceted American jazz musician renowned for his mastery as a bassist, producer, composer, and performer. His musical journey began at the age of 5 in Detroit’s vibrant church community, where he was first introduced to the soulful sounds of Motown, sparking a lifelong passion for music. His talents quickly garnered attention, leading to sponsorships with top music brands and the opportunity to study Jazz Studies at Michigan State University, where he earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Under the mentorship of jazz legends Marcus Miller and Rodney Whitaker, Rose has developed a versatile musical style that spans jazz, gospel, R&B, funk, hip-hop, and pop​​.

Rose’s music seamlessly blends elements of jazz, funk, hip hop, and R&B into a rich sonic experience, drawing inspiration from his gospel roots and contemporary influences. His early exposure to music and rapid development were marked by notable performances on Michigan-based television and online streaming platforms as a prodigious child bassist. Throughout his career, Rose has performed globally with esteemed artists such as Etienne Charles and Diego Rivera, reflecting his status as a sought-after musician in the jazz world​​.

His compositions, often inspired by personal experiences of love and loss as well as social movements like Black Lives Matter, showcase his depth as a writer and his commitment to themes of equality and social justice. With a debut album titled “Transition,” Rose offers a glimpse into his expansive musical talents and his ability to infuse traditional jazz with contemporary sounds, underscoring his unique position in the modern jazz landscape.
